Very nice! You got a lot of mileage out of just a piano and some drums, and I liked the progression.

Nice, I like the energy! What drum virtual instrument is that? I want it :P

I love it! Lots of cool, interesting stuff going, really has that nice proggy feel to it. Subbed, and can't wait to hear more!

Wow, that was fantastic! I love the energy, and how you managed to fit a lot of good, varied stuff into just under 2 minutes. You gotta tell me where you got that choir and percussion :P

JesseNewkirk responds:

Thank you for the nice comments, Steve. I really appreciate it.

The choir is Voxos by Cinesamples, seen here: http://youtu.be/tNIS3SCC7kY
The percussion is a mixture of different kits found in Heavyocity's Damage, seen here: http://youtu.be/U31gvTqubbw

Hope that answers your question. :)

I like it a lot! Good/5.

Very nice! What'd you use to make the dj sounding parts?

H2opoloseal responds:

Hey WarmanSteve, I used a combination of two things. I recorded the track out and actually did scratch it (what you call "DJ-sounding" is actually a transitional, beat-matching and remixing technique used by DJ's called 'scratching') with a pair of Numark TTX-USB's using time-coded vinyl, in a combination with a powerful time-manipulation VST called GrossBeat. I didn't want it to sound "over the top," I liked keeping the live-scratch sound. Thanks a ton for the great review, I worked really hard on it! That section of the track alone took a few days and many dozens of attempts to get right.

I really like this, it sounds like a track straight out of a game like Chrono Trigger :D Where'd you get those virtual instruments?

S'funny. I like it.

TinyLobsterFace responds:

Music like this is the reason I still frequent the audio portal. The riffs are excellent, and there's enough variation to keep the song interesting all the way through. Great job :D

PirateCrab responds:

Haha I know the feeling about songs becoming boring when they're repetitive so I don't have a standard song structure, it's literally a/b/c/d/e/ee/eee/eeeeeee/z and all that crap. Thanks dude :D

Hi, I make games! And also music! That's about it.
